For auto insurance in CA, do I have to have “Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury” coverage? Is this one important? Thank you!

No you don’t have to have it to drive legally, but it can be useful in some areas. If you are in an accident with someone who does not have liability insurance (illegal to drive this way) Uninsured motorist coverage will pay for the damages. If you don’t have this coverage, and they don’t have insurance, you are stuck paying for the damage yourself. You can always try to sue, but you can only take money if they have money. This insurance will pay for your bills if you are harmed in an accident with an uninsured motorist. Only you can decide if it is worth it.

    only like the MOST IMPORTANT COVERAGE EVER! You know how many people drive uninsured? Well, if one of those people hit you.. and you are seriously hurt.. this is the coverage that will take care of you. It is incredibly risky and stupid not to have it. Ive seen hundreds of people screwed over… and hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.. b/c they didnt have this.
